Jornais portugueses no YouTube | Portuguese newspapers in YouTube

Depois de ter surgido no 10.000words um mapa com todos os jornais americanos com canal no YouTube, foram feitos um para o Reino Unido, outro para a Noruega, e ainda outro para a Polónia . Esta é a minha contribuição para Portugal. Dos 173 websites de jornais portugueses que analisei, pude ver que 19 usam vídeo mas apenas 6 nove recorrem ao Youtube. Os restantes recorrem ao SapoVídeo ou enta, alojam os próprios trabalhos.

After 10000words presented a map with all the american newspapers that had a YouTube channel , a few others were created for other countries, like the UK, Norway and Poland. This is my own effort to map the portuguese situation. Out of the 173 newspaper websites i went through only 19 use video, and from those only six nine have YouTube  channels. The others rely on SapoVideos or host their own work.

Citizen News @ YouTube

O YouTube seguiu com a corrente e criou um canal dedicado ao Jornalismo do Cidadão. No fundo apenas criou um espaço para um tipo de vídeos que sempre proliferou por aqueles lados. Não gostei da forma como apresentam o canal, mas não é importante, porque é apenas uma página para vídeos que serão inseridos em qualquer outro lado, como antes. Mas isto é mais uma prova que o video e o jornalismo do cidadão estão a tornar-se mainstream.

YouTube followed the current and created a citizen news channel. Actually they’ve just created a page for that kind of videos that always proliferated around those parts. I didn’t like the way the thing is presented, but that’s not important, it’s just a place for videos that will be embedded someplace else, just like before. But this is another proof that video and citizen Journalism are becoming mainstream.

A humorous yet somewhat depressing look at how youtube takes over people. I used some stop motion and various clips from youtube and tv. I remade the original version of the buggles song using reason 3 and a free text to speech editor. Also DONT GET PISSED!!!! the sexy thumbnail is the irony of the whole thing. Also the song is dull and lifeless for a reason. Please rate and comment and tell me what you think….

Esta foi a última edição em video que fiz. A oportunidade surgiu quando um amigo meu quis participar num concurso em que ele tinha que enviar um solo de guitarra de um minuto, em video. Apanhei-o a meio do processo e aproveitei para sacar mais alguns planos. Como não era para complicar a coisa, acabámos por não demorar muito e a edição foi feita de uma forma simples. A faixa foi gravada e inserida à parte, aliás, é a correspondente ao take do plano geral. Se alguma vez editar como ele toca guitarra estarei mesmo muito bem.

This my latest vídeo edit. The chance came up when a friend of mine decided to participate in a web contest where he should send a video of him playing a one minute guitar solo. I found him in the middle of the process, and took a few extra shots. Since the goal was to keep it simple, we ended up not taking too long and the cutting was made in a quite simple fashion. The audio track was recorded on the side, and corresponds to the widest shot take. If someday I could edit just as good as he plays the guitar, I’d be awesome.
