As chuvas que assolaram o estado de Santa Catarina no sul do Brasil são as mais dramáticas de sempre. Os números apontam para dezenas de mortos, e milhares de desalojados. Um deles é Rogério Christofoletti que nos vai dando algumas informações sobre a situação. Outros sítios para se ir vendo o que se passa fora dos media tradicionais são os blogs Luz e Estilo e o Visão Extra. The strong rains that hit the southern brazilian state of Santa Catarina are already the most dramatic ever. There are dozens of deads, and thousands of homeless people. One of those is Rogério Christofoletti that posted some information in the situation. I must highlight that people are organizing themselves in the blogosphere, and besides delivering information, they’re trying to solve some problems, like the whereabouts of som homeless, making their current location known in this blog: Blog dos Desabrigados de Itajaí.Do you know any other links to follow this situation? Ironic, isn’t it?
These tragedies are difficult to handle especially in poorer countries. As far as i know these floods are the worst in 25 years, and they are affecting both city and rural areas.
I just hope the consequences don’t get worse than this.
Thanks for sharing, a flooding has always a great visual impact, no matter where. Unfortunately somtimes it has a huge human toll too.

COmo disse, procuro saber notícias da família Ginja… Grandes amigos meus de Moçambique. Se alguém souber e puder ajudar-me agradecia. Eles são Testemunhas de Jeová e sei que a Organização fez grandes esforços para ajudar as vítimas independentemente de suas crenças religiosas, o que caracteriza as Testemunhas de Jeová por décadas…por isso acredito que, através daas congéneres existentes aí seja possível saber algo. Agradecia pois a quem pudesse encaminhar esta preocupação e o meu abraçop solidário também aos meus amigos, relativamente a quem, espero, não tenham sofrido muito…
