A Current TV é um canal co-fundado por Al Gore, e dedicado a jovens adultos. Eles lançaram um novo site ,e dizem ser o primeiro canal a permitir aos seus espectadores escolher as notícias que são relevantes para eles. A interactividade é tal que os utilizadores podem criar e enviar pequenos vídeos de não ficção, e o próprio site promove a colaboração com comunidades de criação de conteúdos e o jornalismo do cidadão. Current is a television network for young adults co-founded by Al Gore. They now launched a new web site that claim it is now the first fully integrated online and television network that allows users to determine the news that is relevant to them. The level of interactivity is such, that content is created by viewers in the form of short, non-fiction video ‘pods’, and users are asked to participate in news assignments and story collaboration projects with community news organisations and citizen journalists. Viewers will have the opportunity to decide what will air on the network and be asked to take part in future programming.
